Headache is the most common type of brain disease which can take the form of migraine where the pain in brain is so excessive that the person feels very sick. Dementia is another very dreadful brain disease that attacks the elderly people. It is characterized by memory loss, inability to recall past events, retarded judgment and communication skills. Dementia is a broader category which includes degenerative brain diseases like Parkinson's disease and Alzheimer's disease and even infectious brain diseases which involve AIDS dementia.
Another type of brain abnormality is cerebrovascular involving stroke and vascular dementia in which the supply of blood is reduced to the brain and as a result, the person is unable to speak or walk properly. It directly affects the nervous system.
Brain tumors are types of cancers where brain cells multiply indefinitely and form a huge lump or tumor. Some other chronic diseases include multiple sclerosis where there are multiple effects on the entire body like sexual and bowel dysfunction, numbness, depression and like. Some other brain abnormality are cerebral palsy, epilepsy, Huntingston's disease, muscular dystrophy and Gaucher's disease. There can be accidental brain diseases also like coma.
